Provided IT leadership to CNATTU’s TSD’s in Jacksonville, Mayport FL, Lakehurst NJ, and Tinker Oklahoma. Acting Task Lead / Task Manager for CSRA. Conducted technical interviews that helped to ensure a higher level of technician with skills earned through experience that was applied directly to CSRA’s ability to retain their hard-won contract that was up for re-compete. Key Achievements: Held crew of 4 technicians to a higher overall standard by demonstrating a quality performance and a nature of flexibility rarely seen in an enterprise level IT Support Company. Met an unspoken level of detailed support that only a demanding, and highly competent client was able to meet themselves. Transitioned the crew from spread sheet inventory to live & online with Altiris; tracked on accountability and responsibility for accuracy ensuring 100% for all equipment is account for where the rubber meets the road. Managed IT projects left abandoned by previous technicians: A 10-year-old project swept up: re-organized, re-evaluated and brought to successful completion via 5 separate departments at 2 different locations. Server Room re-organization Condensed all local servers into one rack, reducing the footprint, increasing airflow, and lowering ambient temp in the room. Re-directed all cables, connections, and optics to allow re-positioning of the lone server rack. Coordinated with other contractors for installation of a primary server room with air conditioning, allowing for pre-existing building system to be used as augmentation. In a warehouse-size room, recorded S/Ns M/Ns, updated inventory, and removed HDDs to comply with military sanitation regulations, managing and assisting with 60+ pallets of antique and no longer usable IT equipment, all collected up and processed, including computers, servers, printers, faxes, APCs and associated hardware, each with their own unique requirements for proper turn-in.
