Provided scheduled and unscheduled hardware and software technical support and troubleshooting. Key Achievements: Instrumental in creating corporate standards for specific models of laptops, desktops, printers and mandating a 3-year warranty on all computer purchases. Created standardized desktop and laptop images. Developed an all-inclusive check point list with 77 specific items, used to ensure all computers were compliant with corporate standards. Evaluated multiple PDA devices and was instrumental in selecting Blackberry & BES as a corporate message standard. Was sought out by end users, fellow technicians and peers to trouble shoot and correct Blackberry issues. Personally carried multiple BlackBerry phones allow for “instant swap out” allowing V.I.P's to continue uninterrupted, while I worked on the problem unit. Created boot disks using multiple software applications to backup data and restore computer images from the network. Implemented Spybot Search & Destroy to address the growing spy ware issue inherent with Internet browsing. Supported local users and job sites remotely. Traveled across the US and Mexico providing on-site support. Provided 24x7 support for mobile users, and V.I.P.'s. Fabricated a wire harness that allowed a hand-held GPS device to run off the company's yacht's power and input data into a Panasonic CF-25 laptop, that was running Sea Charts, and waterway GPS program.
